Selling on eBay

Posted by Ben Nua

Selling What You Love on eBay

As with all business, if you are doing what you love you will enjoy the time and effort you put into business. The same applies to selling on eBay.

When you are looking into niche markets to sell for, first look into your own personal areas of interest. If your are scrapbooker, start surfing around scrapbook auctions and see if there is a market that has more demand than products available, or for products you have a source for that will leave you with a large profit margin.

Keep in mind what trends are hot in your favorite hobbies or interest areas. There could be in the market if you are among the first to have a particular product while others are still struggling to find it.

If you are crafty, don’t forget about making products and then selling them on eBay. This works best for products that are extremely unique to you, and other sellers would have a hard time duplicating. Back to the scrapbook example, many sellers are making an extremely good living by selling original paper piecings they create. On the same note, premade a layout pages of the “just add photos” variety are also a hot seller for today’s busy crafters.

Also consider going wholesale in your favorite product areas. If you are a knitter, purchasing and reselling wall on eBay may be a profitable area for you, particularly on unique and hard-to-find yarns.

Don’t forget to look into areas that other family members in your household are interested in. Your son’s favorite hobby might actually be one that there’s a lot of money to be made in. In that instance, going part-time with your son could be a good idea, where he does the product research, while you do the actual listing and selling.

When you are selling what you love, you will definitely love the business more and you will enjoy it. And when you enjoy it it won’t seem as much like work as it is something fun that makes you money.

Review: Top Secret Magic Code

Dr Jon Cohen II has just launched his ‘Top Secret Magic Code‘ ebook that teaches how a new  “Magic Code” added to any site you have causes your site (or even any site) to magically start making money.

Dr Jon Cohen II is a New York doctor who for the last 10 years used this discovery secretly to do everything from offset his advertising costs, to just adding it to 1,000’s of webpages and amass a personal wealth now of nearly $100 million cash!

Now he’s decided to allow you and everyone else to share in it (and since he stands nothing more to gain by keeping “you” in the dark about it).

You will learn, among other things:

* How to create a powerful webpage in just under 15 minutes

* How to start getting hundreds, thousands of visitors each and every day

* How to add the “Magic Code” to these pages and start getting money poured into your pockets

A number of the largest online firms such as Alexa, and even a good number of the top 100 sites ranked on the entire Web are already using this amazing, but very simple secret.

Alexa, for instance, adds this code to a number of their webpages and it allows them to automatically generate an “extra” $90,000 a month in profits – and that for just a single webpage!

If you had 10 such pages that each did likewise, you’d “magically” get $900,000 every 30 days just poured into your pocket!

And most important: You should instantly recognize the fact that since a firm like Alexa (as well as about 34% of the Web’s top 100 sites) is using this, then you too should be using it.

But here’s what may SHOCK you the absolute very most …

* It takes you just 45 seconds to add this code to any webpage

* Once added you do NOTHING further – but money just starts pouring in!

Just in case you think this isn’t for real, firms like Alexa and others in the top 100 wouldn’t be using it if it weren’t (but they are; so what does that tell you?).

If you are wise and want to make your webpages pay you money automatically simply by adding just a simple string of 1-line code to any webpage, then you had best go here immediately:

Top Secret Magic Code

Why all this RUSH? … Very simple: because Dr Jon is is letting just about another 500 to maybe 600 people at best find out about this, and then he’s deliberately going to “pull the rug out from underneath” anyone else trying to get it!

Does that sound very cruel and unfair?

But that’s his doing; so rather than argue with him it would probably just be a better idea to just go there and grab it so that at least “you” don’t get left out in the rain, right?

But fair warning, in case you stumble upon this too late, just don’t be shocked to see it’s no longer available.

Overall Score 8.5/10

Finding Your Niche on eBay

Posted by Ben Nua

Finding Your Niche on eBay

Is it possible to find just one niche market on eBay and make a living doing it? Definitely. But the hard part is finding your niche. Here is a step by step plan to not only finding your niche, but finding a profitable one.

Step One:
Make a list of all the possible niche markets. Ideally, these should be areas that you are familiar with, such as hobby supplies, something you buy or admire regularly, something you collect, or even something you have that gut feeling that you could make a good profit selling online.

Step Two:
Start a worksheet listing five or ten items in each of those niche markets. Choosing a mixture of hard to find (but not so hard to find that you won’t be able to find any to resell!) and best selling to get a good cross-section of each niche market.

Step Three:
Next to each, place the price you could realisticly purchase each item for. Don’t forget to factor in shipping costs or sales taxes into this purchase price. And since most sellers will be selling in US funds, be sure to use a currency calculator to change your prices into US funds.

Step Four:
Begin searching completed auctions on eBay.

(You must be registered or logged in to search completed auctions). These are the actual final bidding (selling) prices that eBay bidders were willing to on eBay. Don’t forget to take things such as quality (is the item used or brand new?) and location (with high shipping costs from Europe, North American sellers will usually get higher prices for the same product).

Step Five:
Look at the results. Does one area – or even just one product – jump out at you as being a potential huge money maker after doing your research? If so, you may have found your niche.

Step Six:
Begin test selling your potential niche. This means, isntead of purchasing 100 to resell, you might only purchase five or ten to begin testing with, to make sure the item is the success you believe it to be.

Step Seven:
Re-evaluate your niche. If you have found it, congratulations! If your test wasn’t as successful as you thought, start back at step one with new potential niche markets.

A Checklist.for eBay Sellers

Being a seller is a lot of responsibility, and sometimes you might feel like you’re not doing everything you should be. This simple checklist will help you keep on top of things.

Have you found out everything you possibly could about your items? Try typing their names into a search engine – you might find out something you didn’t know. If someone else is selling the same thing as you, then always try to provide more information about it than they do.

Do you monitor the competition? Always keep an eye on how much other items the same as or similar to yours are selling, and what prices they’re being offered at. There’s usually little point in starting a fixed price auction for $100 when someone else is selling the item for $90.

Have you got pictures of the items? It’s worth taking the time to photograph your items, especially if you have a digital camera. If you get serious about eBay but don’t have a camera, then you will probably want to invest in one at some point.

Are you emailing your sellers? It’s worth sending a brief email when transactions go through: something like a simple “Thank you for buying my item, please let me know when you have sent the payment”. Follow this up with “Thanks for your payment, I have posted your [item name] today”. You will be surprised how many problems you will avoid just by communicating this way.

Also, are you checking your emails? Remember that potential buyers can send you email about anything at any time, and not answering these emails will just make them go somewhere else instead of buying from you.

Do your item description pages have everything that buyers need to know? If you’re planning to offer international delivery, then it’s good to make a list of the charges to different counties and display it on each auction. If you have any special terms and conditions (for example, if you will give a refund on any item as long as it hasn’t been opened), then you should make sure these are displayed too.

Have you been wrapping your items correctly? Your wrapping should be professional for the best impression: use appropriately sized envelopes or parcels, wrap the item in bubble wrap to stop it from getting damaged, and print labels instead of hand-writing addresses. Oh, and always use first class post – don’t be cheap.

Do you follow up? It is worth sending out an email a few days after you post an item, saying “Is everything alright with your purchase? I hope you received it and it was as you expected.” This might sound like giving the customer an opportunity to complain, but you should be trying to help your customers, not take their money and run.

Being a really good eBay seller, more than anything else, is about providing genuinely good and honest customer service. That’s the only foolproof way to protect your reputation.

The 3 Things Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end up maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.
Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving…

To your success.
